Descrizione

From Trinità di Entracque 1084 m, go along the Bousset valley along the carriage road that passes Tetti Porcera and ends at the bridge of the same name 1078 m; from here begins a long M5 dirt track that passes Ponte del Suffiet 1184 m, touches Gias Ischietto 1350 m approx. and ends at Gias Valera Sottano 1517 m. The mule track that follows leads to a crossroads at an altitude of 1583 m where the branch-off for the M24 Mena Pass (Stage Completion 5D) branches off to the left. Keep to the orographic right and continue the ascent along the Sabbione M5 gorge, passing Gias Adreit 1643 m and Gias della Culatta 1864 m on a constant half slope; pass the confluence of several watercourses and take the opposite slope where the ascent becomes more direct and important. At an altitude of approx. 2130 m to the left is the branch off that leads to the Colle Est del Sabbione M5B; keeping to the right with a half slope uphill under the ridge between the two hills you reach the Lago della Vacca 2260 m, then with a last short climb the Colle Ovest del Sabbione 2328 m.
