Starting from Hamlet Vrù of Cantoira, the path n. 330A goes into the beech forest and then crosses the road in the last section before reaching Hamlet Lities (1144 m). Taking path n. 329, you go up through the last stretches of the forest and then find yourself in a wide valley of pastures with the ancient buildings of the stone pastures distributed on the slope that leads up to the Chapel of San Domenico (1770 m above sea level). The ascent starts there, trail n. 329B, and points almost directly to the top of Monte Bellavarda (2345 m). Then, following the ridge north-wests, descend along path n. 327. It is necessary, at this point forth, to be careful till reaching the Colle della Paglia (2147 m). From the pass begins the descent on the western slope, track n. 326, which leads to the Alpe Paglia Superiore (1857 m) and immediately after to the Sanctuary “Madonna del Ciavanis” (1880 m). After the short deviation to visit the Sanctuary, it is possible to take the path n. 326 that follows, downhill, the little valley where flows Rio Paglia. You will then pass near the Roc d’le Masche, visible on the right, and finally reach Vonzo (1231 m). Here after having found hospitality at the private tourist structures, it is possible to visit the curious geological formations called “Castej d’le Rive” (monoliths supported by compact ground towers). For those who want to discover the wide plain of Chialamberto, it is suggested to reach the main village where many services for tourists are offered.
